My older pig and his new cage mate ( around 3months old) have had a fight and the older pig has a wound on his face. We have separated them as they were rumbling at each other. What can we do tonight? Shall we separate or try with a bath? Would separating them tonight make it worse when we reintroduce? Any advice really welcome as this is the first time we've had pigs that have fought :( Thanks

Unfortunately once a fight has occurred it is unlikely they will be able to live together again. The best thing would be to separate them. (Rumbling in itself isn’t a cause to separate though, just for information - a full on fight is cause for separation though).
If you decide to try a reintroduction after a night apart then it needs to be done properly in a neutral zone (as if they are bonding for the first time). As I say though, usually once this type of fight has occurred once, it is likely to happen again so you do need to be prepared for any reintroduction to fail and them have to live separately going forward.

:agr:
If you decide to try reintroducing them (as said once a fight occurs they’ve made up their minds - so not sure I’d try), and they still don’t get on, you can always have them living side by side. Interaction through the cage is better than nothing.

Sorry for the stress of it! Some piggies just don’t get along 🤷🏾‍♀️

Pls read the information about bonding on here.
I'm no expert but I do know if a wound has happened it's not good at all.
I've failed twice and yes was same piggies

Better ideia : separate ! Try again in a neutral place if doesn’t work at all you wount b able to put them again together ☹️
