I just have a question, I've noticed my three foster girls constantly start "fighting" for things. I'm not sure if they're actually fighting or not, I've never had guinea pigs before so I'm not familiar with the sounds they make.

All three girls live in a 3x2 C&C cage. They have room which they enjoy but I will expand it as soon as I can.

I have one of these in their cage and I have a box for their hay. They usually make some the common guinea pig sounds and will freeze and stare at eachother for awhile, sometimes they charge and will both start screaming out of fear. I don't know if it's because they are still nervous and are in a new environment. They do get along fine apart from their little "fights" though. :{

They probably would love to have a little bit more room when you can :) do you have three of everything? You should have three food bowls, three water bottles, etc... just so that they don't have to fight about it. That may calm them down and they may also need more hidey holes and some tunnels too. Good luck with your ladies :)

Their space is too small - that is barely enough for one piggy! According to the RSPCA recommendation, 3 piggies should have at least 2x5 ft space as a minimum. Please enlarge their cage as soon as you can. If you can't go past 2x4 grids ground space, think about building up!

If they are squabbling (probably as part of their dominance sort out if you haven't had them for long), you can get three bowls well spaced apart so no piggy can hog it all. You will find that the top girl has first choice in everything and is busy to make sure that the others get the message!
