my boy has such long lucsious locks, but I thought with the weather getting nicer and when it comes summer he will probably prefer it shorter. He always gets the back matted and it’s almost impossible to comb him or even touch it with a pair of scissors because he will start going crazy and kicking me lol , even with veggie discractions, my partner won’t hold him as he says he’s too wriggly lol and I can’t do both, ANY TIPS?:( he has something stuck to his back fur think it’s a bit of poop but can’t get it out because of how much he’s kicking me x
 
I was going to say he sounds just like my Bobby - then I saw the pics, and he LOOKS just like Bobby too. I'm afraid my only advice is to do it in shifts... Get a few bits when he's not paying attention then give him a break some veg or nuggets and try again. I also try not to put strain on the hair so that he doesn't notice what I'm doing. I find he's not too bad at the front it's more the back, but he doesn't even like being touched there. It's so bad I had him at the vet because I thought he was in pain, but no... Just sensitive. Another tip for stopping him getting matted is a bath with gorgeous guineas posh and go. Neither of my long haired piggies have had any matting since I bathed them months ago. Awww he’s identical! Yeah I’ve been doing it bit by bit then giving him a break, he acts like that child game buccaro or whatever it was called lol and jumps side to side and kicks his legs out, think they’re going to go and have a bit of sun now in the garden but I shall try and get more off later lol xx

Bobby actually chattered his teeth at me when I was doing it. Lol
 
As soon as I go to get him out of the cage he runs off and chatters lol he knows what’s coming
