My poor guinea pigs are out in the cold, wind and the rain.they have taul palling over them and they are sleeping in the shelter part of the cage.they have lots of hay and a wood log house.

I am cat sitting at a friends house tonight - my piggies are at home in the lounge and I still worry about them being cold!

I've covered the hutches with quilts tonight and put the heater on in their shed. I've also cleaned them out so they've got plenty of clean shavings and the night boxes are full of hay, so my lot are going to be warm and comfortable tonight. ;)

so long as the cage is dry and bedding dry they will be fine, cold is not a problem just wack more hay in but the wet damp bedding can be leading to all sorts of problems.
pigs kept in a shed will not need covering as it really is not cold, and you do not want to have it so they get condensation on the windows,
IF you see condensation on the windows then your ventilation is no good and you need to act asap to get that air flow sorted or else problems will arise,
there should be a window or door open 24/7 for ventilation.

mine have always been outside (over many years now) but have plenty of covers, hay, snuggle saks etc and they have always been ok. i shouldn't worry too much - they should be fine:)
