I now have two new additions to the family..
Two female guinea pigs that i believe to be Abyssinian.

They were just bumped in a box outside at work, Derek found them after we had locked up and was going home.
I don't no how long they had been there for but they were stressed as anything and boiling hot =[

Seeing as my beautiful baby boy Harry recently passed away i had a spear cage, so before Derek could say anything i was putting them into my car XD

When i got them home my mum was horrified that someone had just done this too them, she wasn't even bothered that id just brought two more guinea pigs home ;P (i already have 5)

After getting them out of the box and checking them over one of the guinea pigs nails were soo long and curled under =[ .. so i spent a while trimming them down, only to find tho that one of the guinea pigs had 4 toes on one of her feet ^^ .. so cute

My mum thinks that seeing as its nearly the summer holidays that someone might have been going away and couldn't get anyone to look after them, and didn't really want them, so had just dumped them =[

This isnt the first time tho pets have just been dumped at work.
Thats where i got my 8 mice from.. someone had just dumped them too.

Its horrible to think that people can just do this.. i mean those two guinea pigs must have been sooo scared.
I'm just hoping they survive the night.

They don't have names yet.. so if anyone can help me think of some name for these gorgeous girls would be wicked.

I'll post some photos of them (if they survive) in a few days, i want to give them chance to settle in and clam down first after their horrible ordeal.

x

i sometimes wonder what people are thinking of when they do these things!
there loss is ** gain, were do * work then? give them lots of cuddles i hope they are both ok, they are lucky that they were found by you :O)

names- lucky, precious are the two that i thought of !
good luck x

I no same.. its just horrible, i mean if we hadn't have found them then goodness knows what would have happened to them =[

I work at a Farm in Etwall...

And those names are great ^^

That is just awful Some people make me :)>>>

Thank goodness that you found them though and well done for taking them in. I am looking forward to the photo's when they are more settled.

I like the names Precious and Lucky. Star is another one that I like. It can be short for Lucky Star xx

glad you like the names star is nice too,ive got two rescue girlies at the mo who are both pregnant!
some people make my blood boil, ive got 5 piggies at the mo an i dont know how people can be so cruel x x x x x

Awww what a horrible start to their lives- some people have no understanding for pets, I'm glad they have you and i hope their settling in well! I cant wait to see pigtures of them they sound like lovely little piggies, i love the idea of lucky+ star or perhaps magic + star? Hope their all well! :)

Hafina suffered the same fate and nearly died in the hot weather!

I can't understand why people can't just ring up a rescue if they no longer want to keep their piggies - but that is probably just too much effort! :(

I hope that those poor girls will settle down again with your good care. I can only say that those 10 weeks at the rescue have worked wonders with Hafina!

Looking forward to pic, so we can have an idea for names!

Thats terrible, at least they have a loving home now.
I like those names, how about Lucky and Star :)

I just went to check on them and they have eaten their carrots and apples my dad gave them, so at least their eating =]

Name wise iv got a few names i like ...
Lorrile, Suki and Squiggley :P

Still not sure what to call them tho

People make me so angry when it comes to animals/pets. If I had more room, I'd have a zoo I'm sure, since I'm confined to one room at the moment, I have to settle for 4 piggies and 1 hammie. But my OH already knows as soon as we have more space, I'll be adopting more animals, maybe even a puppy! I am so thankful for rescues, as that is where I adopted Oreo and Cuddles from. Oreo's poor little ears are gone, and if I ever find out who is responsible for him losing his ears, I'll be in jail. Thank the heavens you found those precious girls. I hope they make it through the night and have a long, happy, healthy life with you! :) Oh, and sorry for thread stealing. Animal cruelty is probably my biggest issue with the human race. So kudos to you for taking in those poor girls, they are lucky you were there! :)

rrrrr i like those names too huni I'm glad they are eatin I'm sure they will be ok x x x x

I love the name Suki, I have a guinea pig called Sukie too! :))
