Hi everybody, I'm a new member to this forum and I have a problem with my 3 cavies. I currently have a 16 ounce sipper bottle in my cage. My guinea pigs don't seem to be drinking much water from it. They only seem to be drinking less than a quarter of the bottle a day between the 3 of them. I'm worried they are dehydrated as this has been going on for a few days now. None of my piggies appear ill. They have been eating normally and they're full of energy

Should I be worried about this? Is this serious?:{

i have 2 babies and they hardly drink anything in fact i have only seen one of them drink once from the bottle ( although they do have a bowl of water too) but that never seems to go down, i was told they get moisture from veg and not to worry but i am new to this too and i am sure someone with more experience will be along soon to give you better info

No you need not to be worried; the personal amount that piggies drink varies enormously. It can also vary from day to day. A few piggies won't drink at all, others drink a lot. How much piggies drink also depends on the amount of veg you are feeding.
