Adult Guinea Pig
I was just reading through a thread and it's weird it was about bald spots behind Pig's ears and I just started to remember my past guinea pigs and how the loved being stroked behind their ears and chins...
My mum had many guinea pigs growing up as well as a tortoise which did a runner and disappeared
I moved around a lot as a child and my mum gave me my first guinea pig... He was a gorgeous long haired guinea pig called Max... From memory he was black, white and ginger Mum always had to cut his bum hair really short because it always got matted... I probably had him for two years before we had to move again (My dad was in the Army and was stationed between England and Germany.)
I had to give him up and left him at a Animal Sanctuary to be honest I never really got over losing him because he was so loveable and gorgeous. He's probably at the Rainbow Bridge now but I always had this intention of finding him again if I ever moved back to Germany.
It wasn't until I moved to where I currently am now that I got another boar called Max again
(I was only allowed one pig) he was a full on dark brown guinea pig and was a feisty little fella he passed around aged 4 or 5 and had to be put to sleep by our Vet. (When Maple needed to see the Vet - I was sat in the waiting room and I saw her. I turned to my OH and said 'That's the woman who put my guinea pig to sleep...' Few minutes later the Head Vet came out and the OH said 'That's the guy who killed my Hamster...'
)
The next was Joey - He was a white Abby and was so loveable, cuddly and noisy! - He lived to the ripe old age of five or six years old. I'm not sure what happened but he slowly stopped eating and I did my best to help but he went to sleep and never woke up =(
I never had anymore pets until I moved in with my OH and now I have five girls! O.O
I wish I had some photos of my past Pigs but I remember them all by memory and I still miss them so hopefully they have found each of at the Rainbow Bridge and keeping each other company!
Sorry for the essay but felt like I needed to get this out...
It's sad to think about all this technology and I have to reply on my memory to remember what they look like...
