Guinea pigs refuse fruit

My pigs spit out or will not touch fruit whenever it is offered. I have tried a variety of fruits with them and they will not try any of them. Is there any alternatives I should use? Thanks!

I wouldn’t worry. Fruit should only be fed occasionally anyway, vegetables are more important. Do they have access to good quality hay 24/7?

Fruit is high in sugar so shouldn’t be fed too often anyway. My pigs never get fruit apart from a bit of melon in the summer

Fruit doesn’t need to be in their diet at all. Mine get a tiny piece of apple or a blueberry once or twice a year if they are lucky

Of course they have unlimited hay plenty of veggies and limited pellets. With my past pigs I would offer a very small portion of fruit once a month. I just was worried that my current piggies refusal toward fruit was a bad thing.

Refusing fruit is not a bad thing at all. Veg is much better and hay is better than that!
