Just looking through some old albums and found photos of my first guinea pig! When we moved to our house (15 years ago) Mum and dad bought my brother and I two guinea pigs for christmas presents rolleyes rolleyes

The tricolor long hair was mine and she was called Sandy, and my brothers guinea pig was alot like my recent pig Peaches and she was called Lucy.

My mum also got two guinea pigs (the black and tan couple) called Daisy & Parsley.

We use to talk them out for a walk in an old pram every morning! and also mum got them two piggy toys as well for fun!

- mum got this made into a puzzle as she was so in love with it.

Note: I LOVE the awful 90's clothes my brother and I are sporting, very....Mr Motivator :p

What brilliant pics, those piggies got lots of fuss!

I used to take my piggie for walks in a pram when I was little. Except it was the early 80s and I wore a brown smock made by my mum out of old curtains!

AWWW - what lovely pictures! Sandy is seriously gorgeous; and the pram pic - x) !

PS: Nothing like outdated dresses - my fist piggy pics are from the early seventies with platforms and skimpy skirts moving on flared jeans with oversized glasses and ruffled blouses in the eighties... Brrrrrr!

hahaha...

I used to take my piggy to the restaurant (not in a pram though).... I had this imaginary restaurant at home complete with menu, etc, and when no one could play, it had to be the piggy who would sit kindly on a child's wicker chair with front paws on the cast-iron coffee table!:))

That piggy had wheels too, it used to 'drive' the barbie campavan!rolleyes I admit I have pictures somewhere of those piggy crimes, but possibly (hopefully/thankfully) at my parents'...:...

would love to see that too... just to reassure me (and Wiebke) that bad fashion did not only happen on the continent (contrary to popular British belief...:( )

any old pics of me can just stay hidden in the photo album, the piggies are very cute and you are very brave!

ive seen old ladies push dogs around in prams but never guinea pigs, maybe we should start up a new trend, anyone got a pram i can borrow:)

OMG those photos are the absolute best! The piggies and you two are very very cute indeed!

It's inspired me to take lots more photos of my daughters with our guineas for posterity.

Thanks for scanning them on :))

You have to wait until my hubby can scan them in for me! Mind you, I wasn't even half as pretty as you!

I'm kind of using mine ATM, but I could double up: baby+ guinea... so long as Social Services and RSPCA don't hear about it...

Lovely pictures,

I wasn't allowed piggies when I was a child 8...8...8.... My friend had one called Ozzy and I was so jealous. I lived on a farm though, so didn't go without animals in my life.

Maybe my earlier years have scarred me and that's why I have 6 piggies now. My little girl has piggies in her life so she won't ever have to go through the jealousy like I did. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

those pics are brilliant!

i feel old though! i was at university in the early 90's![old gimmer]

i've never had guinea pigs before but i did have a cat that i used to dress in dolls clothes and push around in a pram....:(|)

oh i used to put our cat in my pram and dress Snuggles up too rolleyes you know he never complained either, cause i asked mum once and she said he was such a laid back cat he just thought it was more attention :))

What beautiful pics i'm not surprised mum had the photo made into a puzzle what a lovely way of keeping it x)x)x)x)
