hi i have a 8week guinea pig who keeps squeaking when he is in his run what does it mean please it a very loud squeak to thanks he is an only guinea

Is it a kind of 'wheeeeek' noise? That can mean they're calling friends, or demanding food, or excited to see you....

Might hhe be lonely, if he's an only pig?

being a relatively new piggie owner I too wonder what some of the noises are. I gathered about the squeaking as my first piggie 'Moo' taught it me, he's very clever! Since I got my girls though, they 'coo' and sound like pigeons! Now I'm hoping this is a good thing! Let me know if it isn't, but the seem happy enough!

amber squeaks when shes put in her run, she also popcorns (jumps about a lot)
and she wheeks loudly when she thinks foods coming :smitten:
shes definitley a wheeeeeeekkkyyy piggy ;D
poppys a bit quieter, and wheeks when shes seperated from amber, its like shes calling for her :smitten:

Mine make lots of different noises. Oreo crys for Fudge if I pick Fudge up for a cuddle as if he's never coming back. They both week at me when they see me come home from work. And they don't shut up if they see food coming! ;D
