Oh goodness. I decided to let Minja out for floor time in the hallway (making sure everything is safe first) and had to quickly go in the kitchen for a few seconds. Went back to Minja again and saw she was chewing something near the wall. I quickly picked her up and looked in her mouth, but couldn't see anything because I can only see slightly behind the teeth. I'm not sure if it was that, but there was a flat piece of poo but a few seconds later her stomach made a small weird sound that lasted a second or so. Happened again a few moments later. It's stopped now and has been about five to ten minutes. I think she ate something that was between the carpet and wall. It's a stupid mistake of me to look away and I'm freaking out.

I'm a minor and my parents wouldn't go out so late for a guinea pig. My mum probably would, but my dad makes the final decision normally and only Haven has a emergency night thing near me, and all the other vets I know don't. But it costs around a hundred pound for a dog to go so I wouldn't know what a guinea pig would cost.

I know it's not very nice, but here's a picture of what she did about a minute ago. Am I over reacting? I gave her some apple just incase to help clear anything down? She's moving okay, from what I can see. Should I post a video just incase. I'm not good at telling guineapig movements.

Don't panic. It's good that you are concerned that she might have eaten something but hopefully all will be well. The main thing to check is that she is bright and alert, she's still eating and that she keeps pooing. If she stops passing poo then there could be a problem. Piggies can be pretty robust and my boys have eaten all sorts of things they shouldn't have over the years with very little problem. Even with eyes in the back of your head you can't always avoid them munching on something less than ideal....

Keep a close eye on her and make sure food is still going in one end and there's stuff coming out the other :) If you're still worried then you need to have a chat with your parents and explain why you think she might need to go to the vets.

Take a deep breath and calm down!

Your piggy is very likely perfectly fine. They have a tendency of eating anything you wouldn't like them to get their gnashers on. Thankfully, their guts can deal with a lot. Piggies can have hickups and make quite loud gut noises when you listen carefully, which you have likely never done before, so it is the first time you have noticed.

Please see a vet asap in case there your piggy is clearly starting to be unwell and stops eating/pooing for any length of time, but I wouldn't panic about it.

Try not to worry. Your photo looks perfectly normal and pigs often make interesting tummy noises. Keep a close eye and see a vet if need be. It's great that you are taking notice of what your piggy does, but I don't think it's an emergency

Good advice from Merrypip above, piggies eat things they shouldn't from time to time we have all been there, honestly... As long as poo is coming out that is a good sign. Make sure she has lots of hay to eat to keep pushing things through.

Thanks for the quick answers! People are amazing on here. I've been holding her for the past five or ten minutes and just put her back. During that time she went normally and had a run around as well. My mum is about to give her some food as I take the dog on a walk, so I'll ask her to keep an eye on Minja until I get back. And I never noticed noises like that from them before, haha. ^_^ Sorry for being such a worry-guts, I'm prone to panic.

It is better to come and ask than do the reverse in a real emergency! ;)
