My guineapig is suffering from diarrhea. So vet gave him some antibiotics oral solution for 5 days. But yesterday he first took his antibiotic and today he is not eating at all. Its been 12hr since he is not feeding himself. I gave him carrot tomato his favorite cumcumber he touched none of it. I gave some peas he ate 3-4 of them. Is this due to the antibiotics?:(
He didn't even drankdwater. What should i do? Any suggestions? Should i hand feed him? :(:(

Guinea pigs must eat to keep their system moving. You should start syringe feeding immediately. Also, ask your vet for a probiotic to keep his gut flora up. There is a guide on syringe feeding if you click on forums at the top of the page. It should be under health. You can feed mushed up pellets. Someone more knowledgeable will come along soon, and give you more thorough advice. I hope your wee guy is better soon. X

@Lilly bose If you don't have any 1ml syringes at hand ask your vet to give your some.

If you've not syringe fed before, I'd recommend you get another vet appointment today and ask them to show you how to do it. It's very important that we feed them when they're not able to eat themselves.
