I noticed my guinea pig Alex, running around his cage kind of just making whining noises, I fed him more hay but I also took him out his cage to let him roam around with me on the bed, he keeps running to my arms to lay on my shoulders but he keeps making this noise, also he hears the other guineas and mimiks their behavior as well, please let me know what this noise is that he is making. He’s been at it for atleast 45 mins I’m not sure if it’s allowing me to post the video.

Hi

Guinea pigs always have an 'on the move' noise.

Could you take a smaller video next time he makes that noise?

Because we are not part of social media and are entirely running on voluntary member donations we don't have a video upload. You will have to upload your video on an open service, ideally youtube, on an public setting and then copy it across.

I feel like he is stressed, hes been more active than usual, it sounds like hes complaining but also has a lower tone, so its not high pitch, when I pet him he makes a rumbling noise. its been almost an hour. Sorry i am just concerned. I caught our family cat in my room just looking at them, so I hope she didnt stress them out, the other 3 seemed unfazed by her, but I'm not sure with Alex. he is up higher in his own cage. he also seems to be over grooming himself.

It's normal communication/mood expression wheeking. He is a touch apprehensive about being stroked (?) but not majorly so. This is as far as I can go in the video clip. There is nothing that triggers any alarms whatsoever for me.

Just a chatty boy who wears his heart on his week and lets the world know how he feels. Does he have a neighbour/neighbours he can interact with?

he has 3 other male guineas but they do not like him at all, I let them roam around half the room, so I have barriers up and last time they all attacked him, so he gets roam time on his own and I cuddle with him so he doesnt feel lonely. he does copy them when he hears them, like when one chatters in the other cage, he chatters, even tho hes not there with them.

If I recall from your other thread, you had tried to keep four boars together. I explained that that would not work and that you can really only keep two boars together for long term success. You did say you had the baby in a cage by himself and was going to split the other three up, and try to put the third adult with the baby to make two pairs.
Did you try to do that?
Is it the baby who is still alone?

Constant side by side interaction with other piggies is essential for single piggies.
They are supposed to communicate and interact between the bars when they cannot share a cage.

I note though that you say he is higher up in his own cage. This will not work I’m afraid. Being higher up and not being able to see and interact through bars at all times with the others will cause loneliness and will stress him out. They must be side by side on the same level at all times to allow for that constant interaction. I’m afraid cuddling and Interacting with you is not enough companionship for him long term.

You also say he is over grooming - it could be stress causing that if he is not able to see other piggies at all, particularly if this piggy is the baby you said you had put by himself (babies should never be alone).

The baby is with the other 2 they get along well, in a very big cage. About 50” long. Alex is the other adult, he’s now in the 2 story cage right next to them, I let him free roam and he goes and sniffs and interacts with them through the bars. He also loves interacting with our 6 month old kitty. But once I let them all out for play time, they attack him. So that doesn’t happen anymore, they can only see eachother thru gates from now on.

Did you try bonding the baby and Alex together?
(A full neutral territory bonding)

Yes - unbonded piggies can’t interact physically as they try to form a hierarchy with no chance of success so it will cause fights. Through bars interaction is fine and essential for a single though

50 inches long is only 127cm which unfortunately wouldn’t be considered large and is actually below what is needed even for two boars (two boars needing 72x24 inches), so won’t come close for the space needs of three.

What is the width of the cage as that is vital information for determining space?

Three boars need a cage measuring bigger than 118x39 inches (so at least 300x100cm) to help create enough space to stand a chance of getting them through the very difficult hormone spikes and issues boars trios face.
Space doesn’t make them get on (it just means they can get further apart) but lack of space will exacerbate tensions and thus problems particularly in what is a notoriously difficult grouping. Normal cage sizing requirements go completely out the window when attempting a boar trio.
Once baby hits hormones spikes he may try to overthrow the hierarchy and this is when boar trios fail so you do need to create lots of space now but also have a plan to split the three of them up if issues occur at anytime

We would not recommend that you let a guinea pig interact with a cat - we do sadly see piggies killed this way
