I'm sure there's a thread on this somewhere but it's often useful to get any new ideas out.. And I'm a bit lazy and not so good at searching - anyway...

My girls eat their nuggets/muesli and get some posh hay from P@H with herbs mixed in but I like to give them a treat a couple of times a day.

If the weather is nice they go out on the grass but seemingly the only thing they go nuts for is cucumber.
I've tried the usual veg routes and they like carrots, cabbage (a little), broccoli (a little), leaves from cauli etc.

They LOVE the cucumber though.

Anyone got any tips for something a little more nutritious they might enjoy?

Treacle is sitting at the bars now expecting me to take her to get some!

hi i know guinea pigs can be fussy..but mie like celery, apple, melon, peppers, parsley not all like mnt...
at a guinea centre ive sme of them have toasted brown bread dont knwif they allowed it thou...

Try Romaine lettuce, peppers (good for vitamin C), green beans; kale, spinach and dandelion only occasionally (high in calcium or diuretic). Fesh herbs. Tomatoes.

Apple (mine like sweet Royal Gala best, as it doesn't give them sores) or ripe pears. Halved grapes and melon.

What not to feed: Chinese cabbage and Iceberg lettuce.

Introduce only one new food at ant time and leave it lying around a day or to so they can get used to the smell and serve it a week or two later again.

For a balanced diet look up the sticky threads at the top of this section. Especially the Phosphor : calcium ratio thread by CCC4 is to be recommended!
