guineas in the park!

Just been to the local park for a walk at lunchtime, and there's also a city farm there. went in the small animal shed and they'd got 5 piggers!

They had loads of hay which they were burrowing in, dried food and fresh veggies, I was very impressed. There were 4 tort and white type, and one little red abby. I asked the keeper and was told they're all girls.

They also had a couple of rabbits next to them, and gerbils, mice, all small rodents really. At least one place seems to have got it right!

It's at Finney Gardens in Stoke-on-Trent.

Outside they have goats, pigs, cows etc, but good to see the small animals in their own shed-type place. It was more like a barn really.

awww thats just down the road from me i haven't been for ages though last time i went they were having trouble with people breaking in and nicking the animals at night! do they still have the cow and goats and that there?

had to tear myself away to come back to work. Where are you then if it's near to you?

They were doing a sheep shearing demonstration while I was there, so luckily all the kids were watching that so I could aaahhh over the goats!

You are local then! I'm in Norton, so only along the road. Work in Hanley though so it was nice to escape from the office for a bit.

I must admit I was a bit apprehensive about going in, but was pleasantly surprised!

Think that might be a regular escape from the office place!

yeah their really good there they do do some rescues not planned most of the time people tend to just dump unwanted rabbits piggie etc there grrrrrrr 98) :tickedoff: they look after as many as they can 0
