Guineas ok with laptop screens? (please help!)

My mum said I should not put my guinea (called Ziggy) infront of the lap top screen because some people see it flashing and going all weird.@) But I don't know for sure. I need expert help! (Please don't say it's okay if you don't know for sure)

PLEASE PUT A QUOTE ON IF YOU KNOW IT'S OKAY OR NOT OK.8:)
 
I shouldnt think it's very good, piggies don't blink much, heat and the brightness etc...agree with your mum, fine if piggy wants a wonder around but kept "eyes front and centre" then no.

ziggy, PLEASE DO NOT LOOK AT LAPTOP SCREENS! it isn't good for your eyes, you might fit as a result and it is not good at all, piggies aren,t meant to do this, there are plenty of other things you can do for entertainment, but this is a definante no-no.
 
I have the piggies on my lap when I'm at the computer but they don't stare at it. I don't think it's a good idea though so I'd keep him away from it if I were you.

I've had laptime with my piggies while I have laptop on and occasionally my girls go for a wander on to my laptop but I very quickly get them off it as they press the keys and mess up my comp. After reading this I'll make sure laptop is out of their way, didnt know the screen could be damaging to them. :(
 
I always thought electrical equipment was bad for them anyway.

As in they can hear the high pitched noises from tvs etc that we can't hear and it's unpleasant for them.
 
I guess it depends on my the distance as my pig bentley is facinated by tv and stuff and therefor watches that all the time, he's never been bothered by my laptop screen though , he sometimes waddles over the keyboard but i tend to keep the brightness down as i try to save battery power anyways :)
