Guineas **** scared of me

I'm sure my guineas do not like me lol,well Monty is really chilled out i can pick him up and he eats right next to me but my other guinea fudge is so scared as soon as i open the cage he runs and hides, he eats his food while hiding somewhere and today he escaped out of his run (home made run with no roof) he just jumped over it. Should he still be this nervous? iv had them just under a month now and handle them every day, I'm not sure if its *** most days my toddler comes with me n she is loud and constantly tries touching them and giving them hay or grass :{

About your toddler - you should encourage her not to be so loud around the pigs.

My 2 have only now started not running away from me haha and ive had them a year! I spent a lot of time just chatting to them putting some food in my hand letting them eat from it xx

Give them time - many guinea pigs have not had much human contact before being sold and a loud toddler won't help with building their trust quickly.

Try and praise your boys for every little thing like you would a small dog and send them loving/caring feelings while you do so.
