Gummed Up Fur

Just returned home to find that Humphrey, who is affectionately known as Humpy, for obvious reasons, has well and truly gummed up poor long suffering Monty's fur. When its happened before its only been a little bit, and its been easy to deal with, but this... theres just so much of the stuff!
Any advice on the best way of getting it out? Monty hates baths so if there's another way I could try first- I think he's been traumatised enough today!

Baby oil? Something that will make it just slide off.

When Corey did this to Romano I tried to cut out as much as I could and washed and bathed him but it just wouldn't come out.

I returned the next day to find a huge bald patch. Romano had ripped it out himself... Must have hurt is all I can say x.x

Try to cut out as much as you safely can. the hair will grow back. this is the easiest way to remove boar glue, as it is otherwise rather difficult to get rid off.

Thanks all, I ended up snipping it out because he tried to pull it out himself and it must have really hurt him because he was crying while he was doing it, poor little mite.
