jasmine is 5 now. For the last week or so she seems to have a gunky eye. It's crusty just underneath. I've been bathing it with warm water.

Is it something she needs to see the vet for? She
Is eating and drinking fine and there is no visible
Trauma to her actual eye. The crusty bit
Is below but her eye doesn't appear to be weeping

I would incase it's fungal but it probably more likely it's bacterial and you'll get an ophthalmic ointment or drops

If the crust is thick white, then it can be eye cleaning fluid that has spilled over and dried, if it is clear/whiteish, then it could be dried watery irritation fluid. If the crust is thick and yellowish/greenish, then it is a sign of URI.
Depending on how th crust looks and how/where it is exactly sitting, it could be a sign of beginning fungal.

Could you please post a picture? All we can do is guess. if in doubt, please have her seen. Not all eye trauma is visible in normal light without dye. How To Post Photos

Those pics are before I've cleaned it it. Doesn't seem in discomfort when I'm cleaning it. Still eating and drinking as normal.
