Gunky eye!

Over the past few days my 4 week old guinea pig has developed crusty and gunky parts around his eye and it is not as open as the clear eye.
Please could you advise me, if I can, how to clear it up.

It sounds like the little fella has an eye infection my boy had one too, you'll need to take him to the vets to get eye drops to put in his eyes daily It usually heals up within a week, my vet advised as well as the eye drops to use warm water and a cotton bud to gently remove the gunkyness. Also if he's with an other pigs his eye infection can be passed onto other piggies so he'll need to be removed whilst he's recovering, hope the vet visit goes well

Awww no problems, the vet should show you how to use the eye drops quite easy and simple to do, he just might wriggle a little whilst your putting them in but if you wrap him up in a towel before hand and a little piece of veggie after he shouldn't wriggle too much.
