Hi everyone,
I have two girl piggies who are both absolutely fine, eating as normal, drinking as normal, not acting as though they are in pain. However recently one of them has had a gurgling tummy. At first I thought it was me! She hasn't been ill or had to go to the vets at all in the past so it can't be an old illness coming back. I thought it might be bloat, I had a look on Guinea Lynx but she had none of the symptoms of bloat (from what it said on there). I don't know if I should have her checked out by a vet to see if something is actually wrong? Any advice is really appreciated!
Thanks :)

If you are worried, please cut down on the veg for a couple of days so they eat more hay; that should help balance the guts again. If you want, you can also add a pinch of probiotics to their food twice a day.

To an extent, a piggy gut should be mildly gurgling when your hold your ear against it; if there is no sound whatsoever, it is not good, either! As long as your piggies are eating and active as normal, I would not be worried. but it is good that you are keeping a careful eye on yours and have checked immediately for signs of bloat.

It is normal for there to be some noise from the tummy, it is more of a worry when there is none. As Wiebke has suggested cut down the veg and see if that makes a difference, if not then get her checked out in case she has some gas.
