Ever since we got you from Avalon Rescue, you were never a well pig. Your tummy was never very happy and we spent lots of time at the vets'. But despite that, you were so happy!

You loved annoying Darwin, your brother. You loved bouncing up the stairs as fast as lightening. You loved your soft cuddle sack. You loved having your long hair combed, as long as it was only for a short while.

When your tummy stopped working, we tried all we could to help you, but you could no longer swallow. The vet gave you some painkillers and we brought you home to try one last time to save you.

You died sleeping on your fleecy cuddle sack, with Darwin not too far away.

We had you cremated at Pets at Rest, and everything was very peaceful and quiet. Your ashes are on our windowsill now, close to Darwin, who I'm sure is missing you.

You were a lovely pig, and I'm so happy we got the chance to know you and look after you for two years. You went too soon, but we're happy you're no longer suffering or in pain. We will never for get you, Gus.

Thank you again for the messages. We're rebuilding now, and Darwin is much more himself again. Amazing how someone so little can leave such big paw prints in your life.
