Gut stasis - stress? Help!

A week later and a positive update for anyone who stumbles on this: Dennis is continuing a strict diet of hay, minimal pellets, and fibreplex 3 x daily - we've had no bloating (and no medication) since last Monday, his poops are normal and regular, and he's back to his happy little self. I've been giving him a couple of mint leaves every day with no ill effects, so we'll leave it at that for a while to ensure things are properly settled. It's nice to be reporting a happy ending to a health story for once!

How frustrating for you and poor Dennis. I hope he continues to improve. I wonder if he is reacting to a certain veg which triggers the bloat. The reason I say this is that I had a piggy who got bloat whenever he had coriander. You are doing the right thing in being very careful what veg he has. Introducing new veg slowly and one at a time is the way to go.
