We were up all night with romeo. He started passing blood in his urine and sqeaking. It was awful to watch him in pain. We new it would probably be cystitis or bladder stones. Rang the vet and was told to go down straight away. We saw a lovely vet who is (thankfully) treating him for cystitis. So please could you send him positive vibes to get better. Hes had some medicine and is upstairs eating hay. (his appetite is fine:)) )

Aah poor little chappy. Get well soon vibes sent your way :). Hope he recovers soon.

Sorry to hear he's not well. Fingers crossed his meds do the trick. :)
xx

Thanks :) he got a new ball with a bell inside and a water bottle out of it:))

aawwww thats soo sad, i know how you feel, beacause mine had it, medican morning and night,, but we think he may of had a underlying problem, because he... nynoo
fingers crossed he will make a squeaky recovery x>>

Poor little chap, hope the meds do the trick. If you aren't happy with his progress after a few days I would definitely push for an x-ray just to rule out stones. Sending healing vibes Romeo's way.

Try to get as much unsweetened cranberry juice (Ocean Wave light is the most widely available one in most bigger supermarkets) into him as you can - either pure or mixed with water, or just water if necessary to help flush the bacteria out of the bladder.

Here are the links if you wnat to look up more information:

It can take sometimes more than one course of baytril to clear cystitis. In my expereince, it takes about 3 weeks of septrin to clear a bout.

If the bloody pees and the pain persists, make sure that you have an x-ray done, preferably with no or as little anesthetics as possible. If the pain doesn't go away, ask your vet for metacam.

I hope that Romeo will recover soon!

lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of posative vibesxx>>>x>>:)
