Hafina's cataract has sadly progressed very quickly over the last few weeks and it has made her rather vulnerable during the mad times in the Tribe. Unfortunately, she also has picked up an infection on her good eye (which is being treated), but it has reinforced my decision to see whether she would be better off living a quieter life with the other similar aged cataract sows of the Trio, now that the upstairs has been extended, too. So today during a cage clean, I took the plunge!
Intro under the kitchen table: My previous bully Tegyd was actually delighted to see Hafina again and gave her a big cuddle!
After all that grass (which mostly ended up in Hafina's tummy), a good nap in the safest corner of the cage
"Afternoon tea" with the new crew
After a minor bit of dominance from Tegyd (and for her, it was indeed VERY minor!), yet another big piggy kiss!
Terfel was of course overjoyed to have another girl, but he still may have to work a bit more on his technique!
But that is no deterrent for sharing a hay bed with the new lady love!
All in all, I am very pleased how relaxed things have gone and hope that Hafina will be happy with her new friends!
