hi there,

i didnt know where to post this, so i guessed people would read it here! sorry if iv put it in the wrong place -c anyways...

one of my piggers is a coronet, as you will all know her fur is constantly growing. i do my best to cut it every few weeks or so (as it starts to drag on the floor) :)) but it never looks nice and tidy! it always looks.... well square!

can anybody give me any tips on how to give her a nice hair style next time please? x>>

All my piggies are short haired so never had to give a haircut. I tend to trim my own fringe inbetween hairdresser visits and its usually a disaster so goodness know what style I would end up giving my piggie. I would think that keeping the 'bum' area as trimmed as possible would be the best way to go. You never know, you may have a natural flair for piggy hairdressing and could start up your own piggy hair trimming business! Good luck and be sure to post some pics of the finished results..

I've never gone in for the "cutting it all over the body" style, even though it's probably more effective a haircut for the piggie! My four shelties all get a nice, tidy little bob:

It's easy as pie, quite time consuming though. Basically I trim it to just above floor level, and work on bringing the underside and around the rear nice and short. That way we still have the flowing locks, but it's practical and short where it needs to be.

Hehe! Gr8 idea for a new hobby! "Piggy hairdresser for hire" lol!

Those guineas look so posh and shiney! You do a really great job with their fur, I normally try and go short round the backside aswell. And I leave the front long (not touching the floor though)

Thanks for the help, I'll post some recent pics and I cut her hair the other day so in a few weeks time I'll post her with long hair :D
