When I first brought the third male home, it had long sleek black hair that trailed half an inch on the floor. Now after four months I've noticed that the hair length has reduced dramatically, and when he walks you can see his feet, wich you couldn't before. His hair is still sleek and black but it's about an inch and a half shorter. Is such a thing common or is it sign of some kind of stress? (He's being bullied by the dominant male for the past three months)

It could be from being barbered. Some pigs chew other pigs hair. Is it a similar length all round or shorter in patches?

I did have a pig years ago that had a longer bit of hair on his bottom. It eventually got shorter until it was the same length as the rest of his hair. No idea why.

It's all evenly shorter, that makes it strange, it looks as if it growing shorter if that's even possible.

Barbering is quite common. Long-haired piggies are often the object of barbering. Some overenthusiastic companions can turn a long-haired mate into a short-haired one in about a week. Thankfully, it is not impacting on their health!
