How much hair is normal shedding for a pig? When I hold mine I am covered in hair and I am beginning to notice that there seem to be little follicle or scurf attached to them.

Could this be mites? They don't scratch excessively but I would rather nip it in the bud before it gets worse.

If the hair comes out in clumps and has white scurf attached to the roots, there is almost certainly a fungal infection.

Have a look at GORGEOUS GUINEAS. , they have some excellent products for fungal infections. The Neem and Manuka shampoo is good and so is the Lavender and Myrrh lotion. If you email Chrissie she will advise you which products to get for your piggy.
