My sow, Ingrid has just finished weaning her three pups as of a couple days ago. I noticed today during a health check that her fur on her back quarter is thinning somewhat. There are no patches missing and she looks healthy otherwise and is in great spirits. I haven't noticed any excessive scratching or itching, but I am still concerned. Can this be related to hormonal changes, or should I have her in to a vet to check for mites? The three other girls in our cage do not seem to have any thinning at all. I was hoping with the wealth of information of the piggie lovers and caretakers here that someone may have some experience in this with a new momma pig? :{
