I had been meaning to give Bumble and Pixie a trim for a couple of weeks, and as it has now got ridiculously hot thought I better get on with it!

Bumble is a very good boy for his hair cuts...very relaxed here as you can see

'I'm ready Mum, trim away!'

'Can you just trim my ear fluff please, as I can't actually find my ears...'

IMG_3976.jpg

'oooh Mum, is that my hair?! Ooooh I feel cooler now!'

Pixie however is less co-operative and moved literally just as I closed the scissors...so my 'trim' ended up taking about an inch off! Luckily it doesn't look too awful!

'Is it my turn now?'

'What's that up there?!' SSSNNNIIIPPPP! 'Oh dear my bum feels all breezy now!'

'Luckily I am still very cute and gorgeous'

And this is an idea of how much was cut off all together...(excuse the other rubbish, had just done their hutch)

Swiss pigs are fantastic but really are a bit high maintenance, lol

Awwwwww arent they gorgeous? Their snazzy new hair cuts look brilliant :)) Hope they're feeling much cooler :)

Thank you :) I am getting better at cutting their hair, the first time I did it Mum came home and said 'Has Bumble been barbering Pixie?' ...whoops....

Pixie has always been such a cutie, I never actually chose her, I wanted a little girl Swiss and a friend of a friend was giving up breeding them and had this one little girl left...and so home she came! She's my super fuzzball, she has gone over the 1kg mark now but has some way to go to match Bumble. Mum was so worried when we first bonded them he would squish her but he was very gentlemanly!

They look fabulous. I only wish Griff would sit still for his furcuts. He needs a good trim every 4 to 6 weeks and generally decides to practice his martial arts skills at the same time. I tend to end up covered in bites and scratches and he looks pretty awful for at least a week until it grows out. What's your secret?

"Aunty Doey, do you think you could do my bottom? It's a bit poofy at the moment..."

Originally I started with food as a distraction, this was when I only had Dodge's 'tail' (he's a coronet) to trim, but my pigs are greedy guts so when they finished the food they would start trying to wander off to find more!

When I got Bumble the lady he came from taught me how to trim Swiss pigs, as I had never seen one before let alone cut their hair. She taught me to put them on a nice, large flat surface (they were on my patio table there), on a towel as it is more grippy than fleece, and do NOT sit down and do it - hairdressers don't sit to cut out hair so you shouldn't sit to do your pigs, lol.

Bumble is generally so relaxed he's almost in a coma anyway tbh. Pixie is more lively but she is getting there as she has realised sitting still means she gets more celery leaves!

Your mummy has to bring you and Annie to see me in my new house, and I can give you a little hair cut, it is rather epicly poofy isn't it!

Mind you this is Pixie's father...now this is FLOOF!

Not yet, we move in on 24th and the pigs move in on 25th! I am severely unprepared :{

Bumble's fur used to grow curly like Frazzle's then it kinda smoothed out after he finished hormones, very bizarre!

Great pics! Do you ask them 'if they are going on holiday?' while you style their beautiful hair? Perhaps you could become a piggie hairdresser and open your own salon....
*day dreams of a piggie hairdressers*

Oh wow I would LOVE to do that!

I have never bathed any of mine though, I think I need to have a go. Dunked Dodge in a bowl of water when his grease gland was dirty, and still have the scars, so I am a bit scared tbh!

Bless them, I did the long haireds here the other day. China as ever is a little madam and looks like Edwards Scissor hands has been at her rolleyes
