So much hair!

oooooooooooooooh you could so start doing something with all that quiff/hair x)
awwwwwwwww i reckon you did really well! -c-c
I bet that's so more comfortable with the warmer weather!

Loooking so much more comfortable you little darlings x)x)

Its actually not been that hot here, touch wood. Major storm yesterday which scared me but the pigs were happily bumbling away not bothered by the massive lightning or the floor shaking from the thunder :{

The first two's hair seems to stop at about that length but the two dark boys just grow and grow, so it was an impulsive TRIM ALL THE PIGS!

Its a wee bit strange to have pigs again and not mobile mops! :(|)

x) x) Awww really gorgeous, love their new haircuts, your pigs are so gorgeous, beautiful colouring, thanks for sharing.

Wow what a lot of hair you took off!

Yup, I find they prefer it that way. One big trim then for a month or two they're all good. Plus Boomer (the big one) really hates it and makes a big fuss so the least number of times a year the better.

Its also really fun watching them go from little odd shapped piggies into flowing locks.

I have to admit I was amazed how much fur was on the black ones, it makes them look over double the size!

That should keep them cooler in the summer! lovely piggies.

Oh they look lovely - I wish I was that brave with the scissors! x)

I have a feeling I'm going to have to give my Ozzy a severe haircut but I daren't! He has so much hair though so I would like to make him feel more comfortable... Any tips for giving my walking mop a haircut? :P

You will need sharp sissors, preferably with a short blade length, this gives you more control and theres less chance of injury.

Start at the back and work your way forward. Usually they dont mind thier butt fluff being chopped away so you can get a good deal off.
If you rest you hand on the skin and place some hair inbetween your fingers, (like hairdressers do) and cut as close to your fingers while pressing down a little bit, this reduces the pull on the hair and on thier skin.

If you have any that are very figety, either get someone to hold them securely or bring them in tight to you and lean over them this will give you much more control.

Dont be scared if they put up a fuss, remember that your doing this to make them feel better and be more comfortable so a little bit of annoyance now is nothing to how good they will feel after.

And lastly dont be afraid to take loads off and them look silly for awhile!
Goodluck :(|)
