Half used Sub-cut fluid bag from vets?

I was given a bag of solution for injecting by the vet, I remember the nurse asking him "A new one?" and him saying "that one thats there".

It's been half used and I've been charged full price. I'm a bit scared after reading about shared bags and possible infections. Why would he give a used one?

This is from a known guinea pig savy vet. What are other peoples thoughts? I'm not local to the vet or I'd go back.

No, first trip back in a week.

I was aware another piggie had had an operation earlier that afternoon.

I wouldn't be happy if I'd paid full price and been given a half used one. I'd feel I had to mention it! I can't comment on cross contamination, I would phone and query this to be honest.
