The fabbo folk at Hammocky Hammocks asked me to sample a new piggy bed for them. It is absolutely brilliant! At first I thought it might have been a bit on the large size for my piglet. However when he's at full stretch he fills it diagonally. It is so cosy and cute. They also included a removable cushion in fleece and a cute little Stuffy toy for him to cuddle up with.

I am totally thrilled with it and cannot recommend them highly enough!

If you haven't already done so then I suggest you take a look at their website.

Can we have a picture of pig in a hammock please? :)

I've taken a couple of cute pix but am not too good with the old computer so am going to get them developed and post them off to Hammocky Hammocks and am sure they'll share them on here!

It's actually a cute little oval shaped bed not a hammock. It's made from really good quality sturdy fleece-type material, fully machine washable and can even go in the tumble dryer for a short while! I'm soooooooooooooooooo impressed!

The hammocks come with straps and clips and apparently are really easy to hook up. I'm not sure if these are only for wire cages although I don't see why you couldn't just put a couple of hooky things in the roof of a hutch(?!)

The one I've got is a little oval shape with high-ish sides and a bit of a dip in the front for easy piggy access. He totally adores it!

Well worth giving the website a click!

would piggies use a hammock, hideaway or tunnel if they were hanging up? :-\ fab site O0

I would of thought they were more for ferrets/ratties rather than piggies but I am normally wrong.

I love their cuddle cups and their personalised stuff, although I havent got round to buying any of it yet lol

do they sell to oz?

They're in the process of updating their website and online store at the moment but I think I remember a bit asking outside UK people to email them with address details and they will contact you with postage details - I think!

Try: [email protected]

Hope this helps.

Hi

Thank you for agreeing to help us test our new bed, Black Jack, I can't wait to see the photos :)

The Hammocky Website is a bit of a FrankenSite at the moment as I've had my hands full with poorly Piggies. If you've visited the website and are frustrated at the lack of stock you can always use our Contact Form to get in touch. I promise we have all paws on deck here to get things back to normal as soon as we can.

We are launching a new range of bedding in March with Piggies in mind, including a Complete Bedding Set for those who use/want to use fleece as their sole bedding solution and The Piggy Tent which is still in testing, but we hope to have it ready in good time for the Festival Season for any Piggies that might be Glasto bound ;)

do they sell to oz?

We do! The shop isn't properly set up for it yet but you can always get in touch if there is something you want - as an example a medium square hammock would be £7.00GBP inc P&P to Oz. Hope this helps :)

The Piggies at Hammocky HQ are spoilt for choice when it comes to fancy bedding but the hands paws down favourite is the Slumber Tunnel, closely followed by their new bed and the humble hammock! I have a C&C cage set up so it's quite easy for me to attach the bedding at piggy safe heights. We have also tested the bedding in shop bought cages and hutches and have found where there is a will there is a way!

This is the new Piggy Bed in use

... and although Doodle has her own bed downstairs, she has found a novel way to share the bed with her old harridan of a cage mate (who shares nothing with nobody usually!)

And I couldn't leave the other girls out, so here is a pic of them sharing their Slumber tunnel ... TattyHead T-Spoon on top and you can just see Pimps black nose peeping out of the tunnel if you look closely ... the tunnels are quite robust because that is 2 kilos of pig there!

Oooh, they look fab O0

Can't wait for the new piggy stuff to be made and added to the website :D Will definately order when it's done :smitten:

Aww Kanika would love that bed.
Are you going to or would consider making beds that are enclosed but with a opening on one side, like a cube? I would be really insteaded, espcially if you could make something with a thick fleecy lining in for Kanika and Doris my Skinny Pigs.

Have you seen the tunnels? They look really close to what you're describing and as there's an opening at each end if there were any fisticuffs then the piglets would have a quick getaway and not be blocked in!

mine would love the new bed too! looks fab
