hamster balls for guinea pigs?

As I understand it no they can't they just aren't designed for this sort of thing, serious damage can be done if a guinea pig used one.

I think Modwyn is correct.

Piggies aren't flexible like hamsters and excersise balls like this can do lots of damage to their delicate spines.

Steer clear hun ;)

As well as the obvious health risks - why on earth would someone think it was a good idea to put a guinea pig in a plastic ball?! They would be so confused, disorientated and have no way of showing their distress.

I wouldn't even put a hamster in one. What's wrong with good old fashioned blocking off an area and keeping an eye out?

I've heard of people trying to sell these for rabbits, ridiculous! mallethead

i have just taken in a adult female who is blind in one eye and wobbles when she walks, she belonged to a little boy who put her in a so called ginnie ball. i dont know why she is blind in one eye but the wobbly walk came after the child started putting her in this ball, gp's have quite rigid spines so having head and bottom pointing skywards is very bad for them, so probably best not.
