Since Zephyr died only a few days after giving birth I have been hand rearing her three babies - Huff, Puff and Breeze. Luckily I was able to borrow a sow who already had 2 babies of her own, thanks to Teresa, and she is now mothering them quite well but as they are smaller than her own babies (although only a few days younger), I am still having to supplement their feeding several times a day (and night!).

They are the sweetest little things and I hope they can hang in there and keep growing!

Here they are in one of Pollie's Cozies - another use for them! I've found they don't like to eat if they are out in the open, but cuddled up in a Cozy they seem very happy.

Breeze looks just like her mum:

They are now 120g, the brown one is 138g so I think he's definitely feeding from his surrogate mummy when I'm not looking!

Bless them, I was wondering how they were doing. I really do hope they all thrive, it's so very sad to think their mummy didn't make it, but I'm sure she'll be watching over them, make sure they all gain weight and strength and grow into strong little ones.

Gentle hugs and kisses to all of them. xx

You are giving Zephyr's gorgeous babies the best chance of a good start in life! Well done for all the extra nursing - you must be very tired!
