Planing on hand washing my 72 inch fleece on Wednesday morning. I plan on doing it outside on my patio since it’ll be around 60 degrees where I live. Doing it in a bin or basin. First time "hand" washing it since my laundry machine needs repairing (even my clothes need hand washed). And then the guinea pigs will get some new toys and a new strawberry cuddle house. So excited for that to arrive from amazon! Everything will be new + fresh! I also might be extending their cage and adding 5 ft!
Anyway! I’m planning on adding soap and detergent and then rinsing and that hanging it out to dry for a few hours until its no longer damp.
Is there anything else I should add? I know a lot of members here use white vinegar but in my year of having guinea pigs, I have never used it. I was going to use baking soda too until I found out it isn’t good for pigs. Is that true? Does everything else sound alright? Is that how most people handwash? Also, I read on the internet that hand washing fleece will detergent can make it look like it’s falling apart? Never heard of that. Any advice + tips appreciated
