When can I start to hold and stroke Ruby's babies?

She was fine with my holding/checking them yesterday, I scented my hands on her bedding and made sure it was no longer than 30 seconds or so, I also made sure she was eating her veggies to keep her mind off them.xx>>>

Do I have to keep scenting my hands or am I ok to pick them up now? :)

Also when can I pick up Ruby, I think I picked her up once in her last week as I was scared to handle her and hurt the babies:...

any info will be useful, its so nice to have mini pigs in the house they have popcorned this morning and are all feeding well, poor Ruby looks a little tired:(

You can pick them up right away.
Mummy will not reject them if she smells your sent on them.
That way they will be verry tame by the time they get seperated from Mummy

Really thats great, I just had a quick snuggle from all of themx)

Tigger- Jumps all over and is a very inquisitive little baby, when I put he/she back into the cage he/she ran back up my arms for more snuggles!x)

Pooh- Laid back very easy to scoop up and snuggle with, very forward little baby and already trying to munch on hay and veg!xoxo

Pigglet- Very strong character emerging, very head strong and know
s what he/she wants, love temperament and very patient when having snuggles. x)

Eeyore- The little runt, very quiet and always last to feed he/she is very laid back and will happily sit for cuddles.xoxo

When mine had babies, god were they more than two hands worth of riggles. God - squirmy flashback -xx

Ok tried my hand at sexing them boy that was hard :(|)

Tigger- Boy
Pooh- Girl
Pigglet- Boy
Eeyore- Girl

I will be sexing them again when they are 1/2 weeks to confirm this but size wise the boys are much bigger than the girls:)

Personally I would get them sexed by a vet. Just to double check, I'd hate to see you have another litter you weren't planning for. xx

I have 16 piggies and I have sexed all of mine and all have turned out to be what I sexed them as, its much easier than sexing baby rabbits and I can sex them correctly too.

Handle them straight away, little and often, every few hours if you can. Babies sometimes cry for mums and mums get antsy if their babies are missing for too long. If sexing is difficult now, try again in a week. It's amazing how much they'll have grown this time next week. You can post photos or PM me if you need to, I'm quite good at sexing bubs by now.

Thank you! I love snuggling up to them their fur is so soft, little Eeyore doesn't like to be out long but I normally get them out after Ruby has finished with feeding them and they have had their nap. Its amazing to see them popcorning already and even trying to nibble some veg! If I need your help I will PM you thank you so much x>>xx>>>
