Technically, Poppet turned 1 on the 20th of April, but I've been so busy as of late, and haven't had the time to post.
We adopted Poppet on the 21st of August last year from the Gold Coast Guinea Pig Rescue, after our 8 year old girl Violet passed away. She was only 4 months old at the time and so tiny
She got along so well with Daisy and Oscar that we didn't need to trial any other girls. They still get along so well, and her and Daisy have the sweetest relationship. I often catch them grooming each other, following each other around, sleeping next to each other and licking each others ears - I've never had piggies do this before and it's so cute to watch
I can't believe she is 1 already. She's only about 950g, so she is still quite small (and I expect she always will be). She is now comfortable enough to come up to the cage for pats, and gets jealous when I'm patting one of the other piggies
