Sian25
Adult Guinea Pig
So yesterday was Effie's first gotcha day anniversary. We stuffed some small sweet peppers with corriander as a treat, she got a new soft tunnel and even a hair cut (which she was not impressed with).
Thinking back to the day we brought her home and remembering how scary it was to trust her and Milan together in the same cage. Think I spent about 3 nights sleeping on their bedroom floor and my partner and I took it in turns to watch them 24-7 throughout the day for the first few days. It was all so worth it though as they have got along fine. They're not a cuddly pair but I think they definitely enjoy eachothers company! Thank you all for recommending Milhaven rescue and providing loads of tips and information to help me through Milan and Effie's bonding process.
For those that know Milan's story, just a quick update as I've been pretty inactive recently. His lump that has been apparent in the same place as he had his abscess has not changed in size so we are still hoping that it is just scar tissue.
