Iola's (previously Lola's) eventful life has shaped her body, from a teenage pregnancy to the neglect/malnutrition she has suffered, all he companions she has loved and lost along the way, the large ovarian cysts (now removed) and her mild old ladies' bloating issues from her greedy overeating that is more visible because of her overstretched tissues.
She'd passed through at least three hands (two of them bad ones) before she came here in January 2015 aged 3 years after waiting in vain for a free rescue place for several months after losing her 7 year old mate Charlie, whose cancer had come back for the third time.
Her figure tells the story of a survivor with a zest for life and I love her for it!

PS: Some of you will have met Iola at TEAS sanctuary events in Northampton this year.
