Six years ago today, I called in to pets at home on my way home from work and came home with Eliza as a companion for Connie who I had adopted from a friend who no longer wanted her two days earlier.

Eliza has had a tough time this year. Firstly in January when she lost her best friend Eleanor and then Erin and Ena just ten days apart in May.

I shortly adopted Emma and Erika to join Eliza and Enoch. Emma very quickly took Eliza's place and became top sow but Eliza was just happy to live amongst a group again.

At the end of August, Eliza sustained a nasty eye injury which sadly resulted in her eye having to be removed. She then caught an infection in the eye socket and had to live by herself for six weeks whilst she recovered.

When Eliza was reunited with her friends in October, she was put in her place and is now bottom of the group but she is finally happy again.

To say Eliza's friends are 4 - 5 years her junior, she still gives them the run around!

Eliza is currently enjoying a breakfast of all her favourite foods with her friends.

Happy 6th birthday Eliza (technically 6 years and 3 months ish). I am so proud of you xxxxxx

You are one tough lady! Looking forward to seeing you again

Happy gotcha day gorgeous Eliza.
I can understand completely about her giving the younger ones the run around, Rosie was the same but there were times when she let them walk all over her- quite literally :D
