Adult Guinea Pig
Tyler has now been with us for a year on the 29th of June when I took Fuzzy on a date to the Potteries guinea pig rescue.
Fuzzy lost his cagemate Peanut in February 2011 and the following month I found this site and subsequently found out about boar dating. I knew he could be paired but didn't want to go to a petshop and I was anxious as he's a big fella and quite bossy so dating of course seemed perfect.
So on a rainy Saturday I made my way up to stoke to meet Helen and luckily things went well and we came home with a teeny tiny Tyler aged six weeks.
Fuzzy and Tyler now have a very special bond, Fuzzy has double cataracts so Tyler acts as his eyes a lot of the time and in return Fuzzy has shown Tyler the ropes and basically how to get your hooman slave under your paw.
Fuzzy has never been scared of anything (he once bit a dog!) and Tyler was a very skittish baby to start with so he really helped him settle and as soon as Tyler took in the fact that things like us hoomans or the hover aren't anything to be scared of, he quickly followed suit. Now he's the first to wheek for food and is a terrible beggar! Always climbing up for food and attention! Tyler has only just become hormonal and Fuzzy toloerates the humping very well, until he's had enough and then he throws Tyler off! Tyler certainly knows his place and does everything he can to make sure he at least sleep next to Fuzzy in his cosy sack (no bed sharing allowed in this house. Anyway, here's a few pics
