Last week Tracyxx contacted me and asked if i could take in a boar as she'd been contacted through preloved about a piggy that was in Telford, of course i agreed:)). I contacted the woman ( who lives about 5 mins away from me ) and arranged to collect the boar, when i got there i discovered that ive had previous dealings with her :(. She started off with two piggies and i would hate to try and guess how many litters she's had since owning the first two:( they had been living in the bottom of her avairy (with birds) and left to breed so mother and daughters were constantly pregnantmallethead last week i managed to leave with the boar and a sow that was supposed to be pregnant and due any day, i tried to convince her to let me take the other two sows she had but she was adamant that she wanted to keep them, one was heavily pregnant and the other sow had misscarried last week:( ive been in contact with the woman since taking the other two trying to persuade her that the pigs would be better coming to me, she has finally seen sense and handed the pigs over to me, the heavily pregnant sow now has two 3 day old babies and the other sow is obviously pregnant and due pretty soon, it turns out that the one that misscarried is the first sow she let me take, she is probably pregnant again now though as they were all still in with the boarmallethead. The only upside is that now the females can have their litters and not be bred from again, she also has no guineas now to breed from, she addmitted that the situation got out of control, fingers crossed she's learn't her lesson.

Yeah I hope that will happen too. People take pets home and at times do not have a lot of knowledge to appriopately look after them. I mean everyone has to start somewhere but at least should get some advise from more experiance owners (like I do :P ). Unfortunately it is the pets that coming worst from this kind of experiances.

BIG HUG

For your persistence and powers of persuasion! I hope that those poor girls will now have a chance to have their litters and then the time and care they need to recover - from Taffy I know how long that takes! But they couldn't come to a better place. Best of luck for them; hopefully, the poor miscarriage sow will at least have a better chance with your good care.

Well done for persuading her to hand them over. Best wishes for healthy pregnancies. I'm sure these piggies will do well in your care. x

That's great news. Hope they all perk up no end in your care and come through the pregnancies well bless them.

Photos?

Congratulations on getting them all out of there!

It saddens me when people think that animals can just be treated like that, but am glad to hear that they now have a chance for a new begining. And a chance for a much healtheir, & happier life.

Thank you for rescuing those little babies!

That is great news! Well done for persevering, I am sure the piggies will all be greatful!
