Its been a whole year since we brought Blodwen pig home!
Blodwen's gotcha day is special because she came from a bad situation with a complete weirdo breeder. A year ago I was nervously waiting for piggy daddy to bring Blod home from Wales, from a really odd situation in the free ads where the woman kept changing her story and it was all really suspicious but we just wanted to get the piggy out of there... then Blod arrived with ringworm and needing an emergency dental op and was playing dead out of fear so convincingly I was sure she was dying or having a stroke or seizure! I darent give her a name I was so sure she would die, but piggy daddy named her Blodwen at her first emergency vet appointment 11 hours after she arrived home. Then we had the ringworm quarantine, and the dental surgery, and Blod joined the main herd in the newly expanded cage at Christmas. Love you sassy little lilac Blod x

Wow a whole year, i remember being glued to your thread that evening waiting for news of her arrival!
 
I can't believe that was a year ago now! She's come a long way thanks to you and piggy daddy, just goes to show what a bit of love and care can do for a scared little piggy.
 
Thanks guys, all she really needed (apart from £350 worth of vet care!) was some friends, we think she'd been isolated from a big herd and given away on the pretence of being a lone pig because she needed the vet and wasnt pure bred enough for the evil breeder to spend the money on... she's such a happy little thing now, she got curly parsley for a gotcha day treat :)

I remember following her progress from being rescued to becoming the healthy beauty she is today.

Thanks everyone! We are so lucky to have her, Blodwen is the friendly disarming face-licking glue that sticks my herd of difficult characters together, without Blod and Theo they would just be 4 opinionated ladies who dont like each other much rather than the happy herd they are now :)

i cant believe its been a year since i was reading your 'edge of seat' thread on getting to your new home.
Piggy mummy & piggy daddy, could see the beautiful Princess through your dental & fungal problems. its lovely to know that you escaped your horrible past life & you're making the most of your wonderful new one. :love::luv::wub:

I remember the build to you getting Blodwen, happy gotcha day, you lucky lady 👍❤️🌹.

Dot and Bernie Havnt even been together a year yet, it will be a year towards end of December
