Junior Guinea Pig
A year ago today I got my beautiful boys.
It's been a hell of a year. I went to a breeder...I should have trusted my instincts and walked away but I am a sucker and couldn't leave them.
And it's cost me. Money, time and a whole lot of tears.
But my boys are still here...they're still broken...but they're here and most importantly they have a happy life. They get their Baytril twice a day and everything else in between is huge piles of hay, wheeking for veggies or pellets, zoomies and popcorning.
Dash is a chirper and has the loudest wheek I've ever heard. He'll come to the bars to see you and loves a good chin rub. He'll have a nap on you...but only after he's thoroughly checked you aren't smuggling pea flakes.
Spud has always been quieter and he's the shy one. But in the last few weeks he's come right up to the front of the cage for his pellets every night. Yesterday, he let me give him a little stroke during pellet time - a big step! He's started to get comfy during laptime too - tiny changes but they just make me smile.
I know I might well be on borrowed time with them. But I have a beautiful pair of boars and I wouldn't swap them for the world x
