I'm so proud. Gus has "chilled out" and is letting patch be. Apparently patch got the message thru that he is JUST FINE with gus being the top piggy.
Patch still does that freeze, and drop food and squeal at the top of his lungs when gus gets near him eating. I'm still not sure what thats about. Either its "this is mine go away" or "I'm scared , dont hurt me, here you can have the food"......
but...other than that. They are doing splendidly. They dont know it (as they were thinking they were pretty sneaky and I was in kitchen distracted )..but I saw them BOTH popcorn together. It was patch's first popcorn here, and gus has only popcorned ONCE this entire time we've had him.
I was such a chuffed and proud piggy mum!
Its amazing how these little fuzzballs that demand food, and attention and then just "owf I'm done with you" little head bobs...and yet...we are so SMITTEN with them.
I missed out as a kid..I always thought them "weird" ...wish I'd know then what I know now....they are spledidly wonderful! I'm also having to now stay out of the pet shop.
They have two piggy mums that have had some baby pups..and I'm so smitten with one of them. She (i know I cant have a she)...is cream and brown and her ears are just so big for her head right now...she's not grown into them..and she has black speckled like freckles on her footies...I didnt touch her as the sign said "please leave us baby piggys alone, we are not ready for our new home until "date" and we shouldnt be messed with".
I could argue that it would be less frightening and tramatic if they recived a cuddle from an experianced piggy holder like myself (tee hee)...but I respected it all the same. SO HARD...I was practically drooling over that one.
So..i've got to stay out. We are out of room, and finacial means to take on more piggys, or anything else for that matter. I mean..geesh five dogs, four pigs, two fish and an outdoor kitty. Can we say ZOO?
