Junior Guinea Pig
As you may know, Oreo lost her battle with cancer last night. We took apart the cage last night thinking we were not getting any more piggies for the time being. Well all I did was I went to one of the pet stores to look as I had to go get cat litter. Well..... Next you know I had an instant connection with a piggie. When I held her, I had a range of emotion run over me and I crumpled to sit on the floor with her for snuggles. She was housed mistakenly with a boar so I will watch for a pregnancy. And if there is any babies I have decided to keep the girls and re home the males, that is if there is any babies. Right now she's sleeping after a long long day.
Funny thing is that she was free. They were purchased as a Christmas gift and they were only with the family for a couple of weeks and were taken back. Because of that, the manager said that they cannot be purchased again but be given away if the people were a right fit and had purchased the appropriate cage. Luckily for me, all I needed was a water bottle and I was able to take her home. Now I'm torn on names and need suggestions. I will post some pictures later.
