Today I'm going to change the guinea pig cage; something I should have done when I got home but didn't give myself time to do.

It just occurred to me that I'll be making the floor space smaller, and the reason I can do that is because I have three pigs and I'm not trying to accommodate four pigs. That thought hurt more than I thought it would :(

Please send hugs.

I am going to try and enjoy the reconstruction and see it as making my piggies home more interesting for them to return to after their Neem soaks and baths rather than a downgrade of the cage-size.

I'll post pigtures afterwards.

Sending lots of hugs your way Emma. It does make the loss feel even more real and permanent, but I am sure your three boys will love their new cage and I hope you are rewarded with three popcorning piggies later today.

Big hug!

I'm sure that your three boys will be so busy exploring their new layout that they will make you smile again in no time!

Thank you all. I'm about half-way through and now trying to work out how I want my second level to be without giving my pigs a near-death experience when they try to get up and off of it. If only I had pieces of stray carpet that I could butcher.

I really hope so. They've been so quiet recently it's unnerving. Things are happening in the cage that wouldn't normally happen: Koda's started rumblestrutting, which is just odd to see. He's supposed to be the whinging humpee pig :(
