The guinea pigs have arrived today! Any way one of them has a deep bedded patch of hard skin on one of her feet with a tag of long hard skin , they have been bedded on wood shavings by the previous owner, I have now but them on fitch which is much softer, would this solve the problem in time, or does she need a vet, I don't think they could remove it without it causing her a lot of pain. Also today they are making a noise I know this may sound strange, but if you can imagine to little boys playing brum brum cars, if you understand my explanation of this, what does it mean . Thank you

The noise you hear is rumbling. It is how guinea pigs show dominance. This link will explain guinea pig noises,

If you could post a picture of the foot that will help. I will tag a knowledgeable member to advice you. @helen105281

Thank you , I will take photo tomorrow when I can get someone to hold her, and do my best to post it to you .

A picture would definitely help, it could possibly be a spur but at this point Bumblefoot can't be ruled out.
