Harley seems thin

Before his operation bout 2-3 weeks ago he was a kilo....but now he seems a little thin, he eats hay, veg and grass, he doesnt drink alot though :( but he just seems thin.

I think its because he's on his own :'(
 
0.95g - hes only lost 5 g...... :o but that was after I fed him, so he would be less than that
 
Maybe with his op he has lost a little I'd weigh him daily before he eats and if he is still losing whizz him back to the vets.

sometimes after surgery guinea pigs can take a while if they do to put back the weight. our zoe was 1200grams then she took sick, had surgery and is still 900grams. seems doubtful she'll ever reach the 1000grams. it is better if he is on his own that way you can keep an eye on what he is eating, his pooping, drinking etc. wouldn't worry about his drinking as harley should be getting enough water from his food. or you could boil water and let it cool and syringe harley some of this. good luck. hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*
